Here's the scoop...

I had Wannabe1 helping me de-louse my C: drive, worked well...Wannabe1's a genius.

However, now when i go to send an attached file from say...my desk top to someone elses e'mail, i get the following: "one or more messages in your Outbox do not have a valid account specified. Would you like to use your default to send message?"

I've tried everything i can think of, can't send a thing.

I appreciate your help as always...

Create a new account to see if it sends, if it does, remove the existing accounts, reboot and put the account information back in

Keith,

Thanks for the quick reply...

Sorry to say, my "capabilities" on the computor are woefully lacking.

Can you walk me through the process of setting up a new account?

Thank you!

I can log onto Hotmail, send messages and recieve them just fine.

However, lets say i want to send a folder thats on my desk top or a Word file to someone else. THAT'S when things get difficult. THAT'S when i get that error message described in my initial post.

Did your ISP give you e-mail addresses

If so, have you got the pop and smtp details

If not, which is the ISP, you can PM that to me if you don't want everyone to know

It appears to use POP3 or something like that. I "think" that POP3 thing is what i may have inadvertantly screwed up...maybe.

If i knew where/how to look i could get that info you.

At the internet connection wizard, where it says " E'mail Server Names", theres a box for Incoming mail (POP3) and Outgoing mail (SMPT). Both of these boxes are blank. Should there be something written in them?

I dont exactly follow what you mean by "click it anf then click change", what exactly would i click on?

I see nothing that gives me the option titled "Change".

Sorry this is so tedious....
