I can't do 2 things in xp and get 1 thing confirmd

I have some music folders I can't delete it just throws a box in my face that says... Error Deleting File or Folder 'Cannot delete file:'. Also I can't see what's in my recycling folder. I can't see what's in it from the desktop folder or from the toolbar. Lastly my volume on my laptop seemed to have decreased dramatically. I used to have volume maxed and when I was in a game the headphones were to loud. Now I need it max just to hear. I checked the settings all is cranked up... any other tips? :tazz:
