I have been having many problems with my computer. I have received various stop errors, some of them have suggested that my RAM may be causing the problem. I have downloaded and ran memtest.

I left mem test running for 20-25 minutes. Whenever it got to Test 5 it reported errors - 2918 in total.

Does this mean that I need to replace my RAM? I have 1x512mb module in my system.

I don't know if the following information is relevant:

All of the failing addresses start with 0000ff00

The two "bad" codes under the 4th or 5th column were ff00400 and 00ffbrr (if I've written then down correctly).

Thanks for your help

Well with 2,918 errors I think it is time to replace that stick of memory.
