Hi,
I cannot remove the write-protection on my new 1gb PNY SD card. I am trying to read it with a zonet reader on a win xp laptop. The switch on the side has no effect on it. Just to be sure i've removed the card from the reader, shut the comp off and the restarted with the write protect switch in both available postions (locked and normal) and no change.
Any ideas?

Here are 3 Items to check – [Attributes] – [Security Permissions] – [File Sharing]

2- Right Click – [SD Drive]
3- Click [Create Shortcut]
4- Click [Yes] – When asked to move to [Desktop]

Right click – [Newly created Drive Icon] on Desktop

1- Click [General] Tab – See if Attributes is set to [Read Only] - if it is – [Uncheck]
2- Click [Security] Tab – Verify Permissions for User control

Are you using this on a [Network] Drive- If Yes Check on [File Sharing] –
