I'm looking into upgrading this mobo to 2 gigs of ram. I was originally looking at this combo: 1 + 2. But recently I was reccomended to go with DDR 400, so I guess my question is would this matchup work on the mobo listed above since the Cas Latency is different (2.5Vs3) 1 & 2. Anyone with any thoughts or reccomendations?

Either the pc 2100 or the pc3200 would work. I would stick with pc2100 if you already had pc2100 memory, if you had pc 3200 memory already then stick with that.

In other words stick with the same type of memory you already have, different timings is okay. For example if you already had pc 2100 and wanted to get pc3200 next it might run into problems, or it might not some motherboards are picky about different speeds of ram so it is best to stick with what you already have.

I appreciate the response but I'm not adding onto any existing ram. My question also comes up where this Mobo has 3 slots (comp sees it as 4 - First slot is 1 & 2/ Second is 3/ Third is 4) the combos I had chosen were a 1gig stick in the first slot (1 & 2) & a 2 X 512 combo in the second two slots (3 & 4).

its says up to 2gb of ram capable, your fine with 2x 512 and 1gb stick, just get all the same speed memory is all im saying. Sounded like in the first post you already had some memory in it.
