Thanks All, It probably is that my speaker wires aren't shielded. When it happened this last time, I had Nothing running (with sound) in the background. That's what threw me. My speakers aren't more than about 3.5 feet from the PC.

can you borrow some speakers from somewhere else and switch them, then check?

I will see if I can find my speakers from my other PC ... if the kid hasn't taken them apart ... nope too late.
