I want to make WMP my default DVD player but no matter what settings I try, when I insert the disk it always brings up PowerDVD. Is there a way to disable this function in PowerDVD or what can I do?

just do this,,,???
go to right click one of music or movie file(not directory like one,unforgiven..etc mp3 file) and than properties -->properties form window pop up
there is a "opens with " and "change" button click on and change it with whatever you want to open with it (in your case choose wmp from list if its not on list click the browse button and find wmp choose it , say ok than apply and last ok close ......
