first i had a problem with baldur's gate soa, it wouldn't play and i couldn't uninstall it to reinstall it, so i went to program files and deleted the whole baldur's gate directory, since it wouldn't let me uninstall, and i still cannot get past the startup screen, i click play but nothing happens...so i thought it was just that game but nope, i can't even play or install my elder scrolls, marrowind either! what is going on here?, i'm about ready to pull my hair out!

any help would be appreciated

are you having any other issues besides with these games? I would check the event log (control panel, admin tools, event viewer). see if there are any red or yellow marks under system and application.
