Hi, my computers been running slow and im not sure why...it usually occurs when windows media player is on so i think there might be a connection with that but im not sure...it could also be sum kind of virus b/c avast had noticed a virus but it said that it deleted it so, im not really sure...thanks in advance for the help

by the way i should add that its the computer thats slow, not the interent thats still going at the same speed, and heres a hijackthis log:

We can definitely help you, but first you need to help us. The first step in this process is to apply Service Pack 1a for Windows XP. Without this update, you're wide open to re-infection, and we're both just wasting our time.
