Hello, and thanks in advance for any help I'm sure I will get from you guys. I have read all your requirements and have done all of them. I have had Spybot for years now and it will not remove NewDotNet and Startpage-EH. I have tried many times and when it comes time to remove it says that it is creating a "restart point" and then nothing happens. Also when I am running Spybot and AdAware I get a message from McAfee that says I have "BackDoor - CFB", but it will not remove it. Please help.......my computer is running fine, but I am worried that this may cause some long term damage.

Hey UKBiker. Thanks for taking the time to try and give me a hand. Anyway.......I have had Spybot for years now and has always removed everything that it has ever encountered, but it will not remove NewDotNet and Startpage-EH. Hi there

well this is getting strange, your log is clean and there is no sign of newdotnet in your uninstall list. Do you have anything disabled in msconfig? If so, please ensure that nothing is disabled from starting there as HJT needs everything running to give an accurate picture of your system. If you have anything disabled, please re enable it and reboot, then post a fresh HJT log here for me. I would also like you to run an online scan for me as detailed below

Please do an online scan with Kaspersky WebScanner

Click on Kaspersky Online Scanner

You will be promted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.

• The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
• Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
  
• Now click on Scan Settings
• In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
  • Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
  Extended (if available otherwise Standard)
  
  • Scan Options:
  Scan Archives
  Scan Mail Bases
• Click OK
• Now under select a target to scan:Select My Computer
• This will program will start and scan your system.
• The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
• Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
  • Now click on the Save as Text button:
• Save the file to your desktop.
• Copy and paste that information in your next post.
