TFT Monitor Power

I have a standard 15'' TFT monitor. The power supply for the above monitor is faulty. There is a loose connection and I need a replacement. I have tested the monitor with another power supply and it works fine.

I am not sure how best to obtain a replacement and for a reasonable price.

I contacted the manufaturer and they quotted me £50, they were having a laugh

Maybe I'm missing something here but if you say that the monitor works fine with another power supply, why can't you use that one?
