Hi all - I have an issue with some web sites where instead of seeing the content of the image, I just get a solid red box. i have checked to insure my macromedia, shockwave, java, and activex components are all updated - (they seem to be - no update available). Please let me know if you have any ideas - example:

http://www.weather.com

Red box on the left next to "Local Weather" and small red box on the right after "Enter city or US Zip" where I'm assuming it says "GO". (Clicking the box DOES work - i can enter a zip code and click the red box next to it and it will take me to the right page - just is a solid red - rather than what it should be). There are other examples on the page as well. On the home page at weather.com, under "Weather Center" where the current surface map should be - instead it's a solid red box. :tazz:

Do you have it set to show pictures?

Internet options>tools>internet options - under multimedia categor - show pictures should be checked.

What happens if you directly enter the url for the picture that you can not display?
http://us.a1.yimg.co...ll_car_tree.jpg

When I do that - I see the image - and if I click on it and select properties - it shows the size and the dates intead of showing not available.

i have been looking around on this issue and i also found the same article as fay47.(http://support.micro...om/?kbid=283807) try this URL out and let me know what the results are and we'll go from there. I'm saying this as i think you never went to it, or it seems that way as you havn't responded to what he/she had said. Also, chilula when you have a problem NEVER post it in the same thread as someone else as it'll cause CONFUSION! please follow along what's said here or else go and create a new topic.
thanx

its all good! its just the standard policy, its because sometime it can get realy confusing who is doing what, and what instructions are going to who :tazz: . it just gets realy bad :) . i understand that it may not make sense, and i thank you for trying to be careful, its just the kind of thing that you learn with experience :) .
