I have XP SP2 and every since I updated to SP2 I have had many problems. I jus downloaded the installer for the GOOGLE Pack and when I try to start installing it I get the message below.

Google Updater couldn't detect an active Internet connection. Try reconnecting to the Internet, then click the "Retry" link to connect to the server. Retry


Any help would be appreciated.

It's more than likely your firewall blocking it, either allow the installer access or temporarily disabling it while installer does it's thing.

I am using ZoneAlarm version:6.1.737.000. I have tried to disable it and still nothing. I have checked (Approve "Green Check" marks) and nothing. I have also had the problem of Firefox and others (P2P) not working now.

I was here awhile back and thought I got cleaned up but looks like there may be some bugs left or I picked up more. Who knows, I have just about givin up.
