Problem with ActiveX Control

Hey there. I can't download some programs like Kodak Easy Share (a picture software uploading tool) because it won't let the ActiveX control bar to come to the top. Also, the downlaod screen doesn't appear. I thought this might be just a Kodak thing but Sony's picture downloader won't work as well. Also a friend sent me a wink in MSN and it wouldn't work either. Under IE I have everything under ActiveX controls set to enable. Java seems to be working. Any suggestions??!! I have Windows XP if that matters...

have you installed service pack 2 for windows xp?
