Can not log-in to Hello

Youve always been able to help before. Someone I met through the internet had me download a program called Hello. With this we would be able to send pictures of our cross stitch etc. I downloaded it and when I try to log in it says relogin and gives a number of seconds over and over. I saw something on a website about hello not allowing "proxy servers", I dont know what that is, i'm on aol. What do you think the problem is? Can you help?
