I keep getting a pop-up saying i have a system intrusion with a flashing red circle with a diagonal white cross logo, and a windows update logo on my taskbar...when clicked it sends you to www.spystrike.com i cant get rid of this (even though i have uninstalled this and scoured the registry for its instance).

I have run my anti virus scanning software, spyware software including Norton, AVG and SpyBot, and removed various spyware bits.

They all say that my computer is clean, however the silly icon remains on the taskbar.

Can anyone Help?

Hi paul! Welcome to G2G!

I suggest you go to the Malware Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post a HiJackThis Log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
