I am trying to include a Mindows Media A/V File in a powerpoint presentation. I have been able to paste the video and it works as long as I am showing the presentation from my computer, however if I try and e-mail it to someone they are unable to play the video in the presentation because it is trying to link back to where I stored the file. Probably a simple solution to this problem, however I have very little computer experience at my old age.

Try putting the video and the powerpoint in the same folder, and then send that if you dont send the other person the file then it wont work as it wont be able to get to it from their computer as its on yours.
