Right, I just bought a Samsung 40gb HDD to back up files from my main Hdd.
It's currently set in slave mode, but it doesn't show up in My Computer. (as In an icon for access)
but the PC recognises that the HDD is there.

So I'm stuck really.
Help me?

Well first off have your partitioned and formated the drive? If not then we would need to know what OS you are running? ( windows ? )

Go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management. In there go
to Disk Management.

See what is says about the disk and partition it, if needed.
