The log-off button is fixed in the start menu (after deleting two recommended HiJackThis entries earlier in post), it is still grey and inaccessible in the ctrl + alt + delete menu.

That clock thing is kind of odd....can you drop into system bios and see what date and time this thing is on?

I will try a windows repair off of the CD then... see if it fixes that clock too

Planned on. That clock is very odd though, I have never seen that myself

Any way to make Recovery Console run from bios\dos?

Never mind, it seems when my buddy worked on my computer he gave me back an SP2 disk when I have SP4, time to go knock some heads

on the regional settings above....go to the tab that says TIME, and change the time format away from millitary time. (pick the format hh:mm:ss) HH means military time

Are we still having issues with RUN?

GO to c:\windows\system32, find gpedit.msc, doublelclick it

Go to USER CONFIGURATION > ADMINISTRATIVE TEMPLATES > START AND TASK BAR....

is REMOVE RUN FROM START MENU configured? If so, double click and set to NOT CONFIGURED
