:tazz: I had to disable firewall and antivirus and then acquired the lsass worm (I think). Symptoms match, anyway. Problem is I can't get my start button to open before the system begins to shutdown. I'm trying to go to "run/shutdown -a" to buy some time to fix the problem. Have tried safe-mode also. Control-alt-del and there doesn't seem to be any related programs running. Even tried to shutdown any unnecessary programs. I was able to get into run once and pull up services.msc but the rest of the window didn't open b4 the sutdown process began. Any other suggestions?
