i have no idea why i cannot send mail OUT through outlook express but i can receive mail
i called server and they think it has to do with NORTON but i turned NORTON off
and it still doesn't work
i am 48 and clueless THANK YOU! :tazz:

To answer this question, we may need to know what your email provider is. Also, we need to see what is running in the background

Please run hijackthis (see link in my signature), then save a log and ATTACH IT (do not post) to your next post. We do not like to post hijackthis logs in sections other than the malware forum as we do not want to encourage people to post malware issues in this thread.

I'm somewhat of the opinion that norton might be at fault as well...what about uninstalling it through add/remove as a test. We can install it again after (though this may entail a call to tech support to get it re-activated--yet another reason to hate Norton
