I had a major shutdown with a corrupt file in my nVidea display driver. After a lot of time just getting windows to open, I un-installed then re-installed my drivers. Everything is working well, except my display.

I had to put back my color to 32 bit, and then changed my resolution to 1024 x 768. So here is my problem. I can't get any icons or folders close together the way it was before the new install. On my desktop, all of my icons have large gaps between them. Same way in the control panel. It is not the resolution rate, because everything is sized correctly. I just can't get the things near each other. What am I missing???

I have 2 apologies to make. One that I am answering my own post, thereby bumping it. The second is that I did not dig deep enough in the microsoft website to get the answer to my question. I got all of the answers, learned some new tricks, and my puter is back to normal...Again, sorry for the trouble.
