I am not very tech savvy. I have attempted to fix this myself. It is probably something simple but here are the symptoms.
1. iTunes took around 20min to download a song
2. I attempted to download using Fire fox (but it was slow too)
3. Tried to use Internet explorer (yep u guessed it sloooow)
4. I have looked around through windows and on the internet in fear that my question will turn out to be ridiculously stupid, but I cannot figure out the problem

when I say slow, I mean it. I am currently trying to download my iTunes update and it is downloading at 6.6kbps

I am on a broadband connection in my university's library. (they have t1 or something)

Help someone

Thanks

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
