Hi CV and welcome to geeks to go..

i have comcast hi-speed internet, i want to get wireless networking formy home, do i have to get comcasts home networking or can i set it up my self?

You simply need to get a router and for each computer you would like to access the network a wireless network card. Your existing cable modem will plug into the back of the router, and then depending upon your operating system you will run the wireless network setup or manually set it up. Also, you dont mention your operating system or computers, you may want to check your computer to see if it already has a wireless network card...if they are pretty new you may already have one, or if not you can buy one. I personally like and us a linkcyc wrt54g router and have 5 computers on the network. Two are laptops with a built in wireless card. The desktops I had to buy cards for. Hope this helps!

Hey there CV
Just to throw it out there for you I have Comcast as well with a wireless router
and there is nothing special to setup with comcast just plug in the router and follow the setup. Then get all your systems setup.

oh and I agree with the previous post on router recommendation. I have a linksys as well.
