Server not found

Firefox can't find the server at www.google.com.

* Check the address for typing errors such as
ww.example.com instead of
www.example.com

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

I've been getting this message, and a similar one on i.e. when I (rarely) use it. This happened out of the blue, but now just about every time I try to browse to any site, I get the message and have to click "try again" several times before it goes to the page.

I do not have a firewall, didn't change anything with the network connections... I'm stumped. Any suggestions?

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
