cannot open iTune, MSN Messager, Google Talk, ICQ...

I installed those above mentioned programs but could not open them. Dont know what the prolbem is. Would appreciate any body shed some light into this issue and help me. Thanks a lot.

When you downloaded them, did you save them to your hard drive? Did you then install them by double clicking on the exe? Obtaining a program and installing a program are two separate processes.

yes, of course I did. Previously I could use MSN Msger normally but a week ago I installed the new update and from then it got stuck.

the problem got worse. I really dont know what's happening. I more or less cannot open any program that I have installed and some old programs as well. For ex. I opened the sims program (the computer games I previously played), and even the sims.exe shown in "processes"of task manager, it didn't open. My friend thought maybe because my Windows is not updated regularly, but it is... (I set the automatic update - everyday).

Please kindly help.
