sorry I dont know the make ,model etc. I dont have it with me, it belongs to my son and he had all kinds of his school work on it and it just wont work any more .the light doesnt come on or any thing .He tried plugging it in to several different computers at school . no luck.my question is. Is data recovery possible if i take it to my computer guy that fixs my compuer ? is it a dead battery or something like that?

I used this once with success on some deleted files on a flash drive(pen drive). It may be that you cant see the files because you need correct drivers for the drive.
