I recently installed modem in Windows Xp and noticed that there are two phone type plugs on spine of card. What are they for. The modem is "Tom Made" PCI Add on Card 00-125 MOD-INTERNET V.92/V44 PCI

are you talking about two phone jacks on the end of the card that sticks out of the back of the computer? or two jacks on the inside of the computer?

if you're talking about on the outside...one is to connect to the wall to make the modem work...and one is so that you can still use the phone line with a phone while having the computer connected to the wall (but not connected to the internet)
