Hey guys, I'm not new to computers, but I'm new to Pocket PC's. I was looking into buying the HP Jordana 680e & was wondering if the PCMCIA slot supports USB cards. Because if it can support it, can I connect a USB wireless card to it to get an internet connection? Also, would this thing be able to play media files like MPEG's? Here's the specs.

HP Jordana 680e:

Processor - Microsoft ® Windows Handheld PC Professional Edition (CE 3.0)

Processor Speed - 133MHz

Memory - 16MB RAM

Display Area - 6.5" VGA 640 x 240

Display Colors - 256

Compatible Flash Media - Compact Flash Type II

Here's the site as well - http://www.tigerdire...63978&CatId=228

Thanks alot guys, I appreciate it.

Maybe this will help you, skip the USB part.
This CFII card has/is a wireless network card.

For other purposes I'm looking for an CFII USB host card too.
This one here is USB 1.1, maybe it's what you were looking for?

This looks promising, but ever since that virtual keyboard I don't trust
anything until it's on the shelves.

Hope it helps.

Hey Ojoshiro,
Thanks for the feedback. I did realize that the Joradana I was looking at has 1 usb on the back. But about the wireless card, do you have to use a specific one made for PDA's and Pocket PC's?

Thanks alot for the help,
J.P.

Oooh tough one.
I'm afraid you will have to contact HP on that. I'd say it would be weird if you have a slot that would fit a laptop card that you first need an adaptorcard and then a CF network card.
And sorry, I didn't realise the PDA you mentioned already has an USB slot.
The teksheet mentions a 19 pin serial port
Hey! That's the machine they use with the NS (Dutch railroads)!
( There is that two-arrow logo on the side )

Cute little machine, certainly not expensive, but *very careful* is t large enough? 16Mb doesn't seem like a wealth of space. And since you already seem to have a function for the cardslot, you won't be able to plug another card inthere (at the same time).
