When I'm using my mouse, or just moving it around even, my download will stay at a steady quick rate, but as soon as I stop moving it, the download/upload starts dropping dramatically until it's going at ~2kb/s. I've never had or heard about this problem before, but hopefully I can recieve some help. Thanks.

and my cable modem is connected via ethernet, mouse is connected via usb.

ok but do you have it set for a time of less then 5 minutes? If so change it so that it's setting is over 10 minutes. Also do you suspect malware?
thanx

I've scanned my computer with up-to-date definitions using Panda Antivirus, and I've scanned it with Ad-Aware Pro, and Spybot S&D.

& I have it set to shutoff my monitor after 20 minutes.

ok, well if you have it set for 20 minutes then that shouldn't be a problem in that area, however i cannot give spyware removal advice as i'm still learning myself but you can go onto a malware part of the forum if you are suspecting malware or if panada scan picked something up.
thanx

as james said:
Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .
That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.
If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.

if only things worked that way.....repeat what mile runner said. But don't post in the waiting room unless 3 days have gone by. They'll just deleate it if you post there and it has only been 2 days. Be patient and you'll get some help.
Thanx

Actually the faster I move it, the faster it does get, to a certain point.. and sometimes I use DAP.. but this problem occurs with my whole internet.. including loading webpages..
