IE wont open Jpegs or gifs

I have only had this problem since i uninstalled firefox 1.5,
I cant even have the option of "Open With " , well i do but IE is not in my list of option nor can i browse to IE's location.


No doubt its something simple and easy to do but i cant remember

Any help will be gratfully recieved. :tazz:

i dont think i fully undersand so i am going to give you both possible fixs

no jpeg or gif in IE browsing internet:
tools>internet options>advanced>scroll down to multimedia settings and make sure IE isnt blocking gifs and JPEGs.

ok not being able to open files stored on your desktop or in other files:
left click object>open with>choose program...>then select IE from that list

ok when you say you can't open JPEG's or GIF's you mean that it's just white, no little red x in the top right. If it's just white what this means is that zonealarm could be blocking your images.

No its not that.
When I double click it, it says that no program is associated with this file type.

I have got round it by using my Kodak picture viewer but I don't like using that
