Hey all,
I recently bought Pinnacle Studio 9 Plus and am having much difficulty with it loading. I have tried everything suggested by the pinnacle website knowledge base yet still it refuses to load. I can install the software correctly including the bonus content dvd but once i click on the icon on the desktop the launching screen comes up. I click on launch Pinnacle Studio 9 Plus and it puts me on a laoding screen ( The screen that says Pinnacle Studio 9 PLus with the girl holding a camera). The computer then freezes on the loading screen. When i use Control Alt Delete. It says that Pinnacle isn't even running. Please help me any suggestions would be very useful. I have loaded it onto my laptop and it works fine. Although it is very slow because the laptop isnt as good as my main computer. i would use the laptop but it doesnt have a 1394 port for my camcorder to plug into. Please help me

lol sorry, yeah i know waht Safe mode with Networking is. When i got there and clicked on pinnacle a message came up which said. Pinnacle should run in 800 x 600 pixels , so i went and change that then when i clicked to open it again it said the following:

The graphics and/or sound system in your computer have not been certified for the use with directX. This may affect proper operation of Pinnacle Studio plus

For best results, check with the vendor of your graphics and/or sound hardware to see if an update is avalible.

(I built the computer myself and I have no idea where to go to get an update), My graphics card is an ATI Radeon 9250 and i have no idea how to find out what my sound system is, thanks for ur help so far

Cheers from Tim

Download and install Everest Home Edition

Run the programme, click + next to computer then summary

Look on right for multimedia / audio adapter

Look at the manufacturer’s site for the suitable drivers for your Operating System

If you are unable to find them, please post the make and model here before you download anything

Please set a system restore point before you install anything

The Radeon Drivers are here

http://www.filehippo...d_ati_catalyst/

Have you got .net framework installed because the ATI card needs this

Microsoft Update will tell you this

http://update.micros...t.aspx?ln=en-us

Download Direct X

http://www.microsoft...&DisplayLang=en

You get safe mode with networking by tapping F8 while booting the PC, when you get options choose safe mode with networking
