Disappearing printers

:tazz: I have a few printers which all had been present and working fine for some time.
The system is a windows 2000 with the latest updates.

On the last few reboots, there was an error that stated that spoolsv
had a memory fault. When I logged in, the printers were all gone.
Add a printer does not work because the service is not available.

This happened a couple of times some months ago and by rebooting
the computer the problem went away. But now each reboot gives
the same error.

Start > run
cmd
<enter>

type
chkdsk /r
<enter>

Say yes to run on next reboot.

Reboot, go take a walk this could take some time
