OK, now here's a tricky one...I have no idea what you're talking about, so I guess I am going to have to go to that site and check out these ads that get bigger....ahh research, just how far are we willing to go to help our members?

Lexy, while I'm gone, could you perhaps list your browser, and run a hijack this log and ATTACH it to your next post so I can see anything that might prevent popups....

off to Victoria's secret site now...don't know how long I will be gone....

there's something about this whole conversation that sounds a bit dirty....victoria secrets, pop ups, bigger....can't quite figure it out....but if my wife catches me doing research, you need to send her a letter explaining this, k?

OK, I now have close to 250 popups on my desktop from three different browsers. I can safely say that the popups are working and the victoria secret image server is running properly.

Google toolbar does not block them, nor are they on a typical server that will be blocked by a host file. Nor does the Mozilla built in pop up blocker

You said you isntalled java...but these are javascript based.

IN IE< go to TOOLS > INTERNET OPTIONS< SECURITY tab, and set the security level to DEFAULT for the INTERNET

Fix?

Dwonload the MS Scripting Engine 5.6
http://www.microsoft...&displaylang=en

Maybe your girlfriend just put them in the host file so you'd pay more attention to her?

Or, maybe your husband doesn't want you spending so much $ there if you are of the fairer sex (somehow that seems unlikely given the stuff I was seeing....)

Have you tried holding the Ctrl key down when clicking the image to enlarge? This will usually allow the popups you want to see. Your machine may be doing just as it is supposed to...Try the Ctrl key trick.

so that worked? BTW, you may want to get checked on the malware forum..

You have at least the remnants of a trojan/malware program there

we do not do malware in this forum please go to the malware forum..my fear is if I tell you what I see, you will use hijack to remove it and think you are clear....these things require expertise, and while I am pretty good with windows and hardware, I leave the malware to the malware experts...professional courtesy
