Very slow java applications

ok so, i have 1gb of RAM and an average processor in this new pc, yet i find im running java applications (e.g runescape) much slower than a system worse than the one i got now..

any advice please?

the average running memory usage is up to around 120mb (doesnt sound right) and 52 CPU

Same JVM (MS v. Sun)

Much of a game like runescape performance is going to depend on bandwith more than java.

yes, i recently did a bandwaith free test and it came out at around 612kb/s

try reinstalling java...
