I have this crack22a on my desktop and will not go away. I was reading other posts and someone suggested running hijack which I did but I have no idea what to delete. If anyone could help me that would be great! thanks a lot!

I finally succeeded in removing this bugger from my system.
Norton Utilities Clean Sweep finally was able to do it. Also found two other instances and removed them too. I used all the other tools and after no one posted any suggestions, I just started hacking at it with everything I could find.
If you use Clean Sweep, use the program uninstaller and search for the name since it won't be listed normally in your Start menu.
It also removed some registry settings and some shortcuts that the program had created in other places.

thanks...I downloaded advanced uninstaller pro because it's free. they have a drag and drop uninstaller which worked great for the crack22a. I would recommend it to anyone! Thanks a lot!

Another easy way to get rid of the file without installing anything is to do the following:

Open up task manager
End the explorer.exe task
click New Task and enter cmd (command prompt)
Go to your desktop directory (probably just cd desktop)
Type delete crack22a.exe
Click New Task and enter explorer.exe

Reboot just to be safe if desired
