:tazz: Hiya everyone.
This is definetly a last resort before i blow this computer up *sarcasm* .For this past year,ive had a problem that ive da\ealt with (by not using flash),but now have looked back into.ive been trying to download just the simple,macromedia flash player.i go to download it,and when i click download,it takes me to the download page,and then nothing happens.it says 'done' at the bottom.i am becoming very frustrated.suggestions,or ideas would be greatful.feel free to ask questions too.if you wish to email me,or we could even talk over msn for fast responses.my email is [email protected]
PLEASE HELP.

For a start please post the link to flash you are using, once we are sure your using the right link we can troubleshoot from there.

Click the link below and download the file from a different location.

Unzip the file to your desktop.

Right click the exe go to properties and tell me the file size.

ok.i went and downloaded that file.when i opened it,it quickly went up to 100%.and thats it.then it just closed.

Are you clicking the .zip file or the .exe file?


The exe is inside a folder named flash.

If you saved the file you downloaded from my site too your desktop then the folder named flash will also be on your desktop.

on both the zip and exe file,they both quickly just go up to 100%,and then the box closes.but if i go to a a site containing flash,the flash doesnt work.so i dont think the downlaoding worked.

What browser are you using, and what site are you going to that doesn't work?

The browser I am using is internet explorer.
I have tryed many different places and site to download flash.
Either they dont work,
or one time,
this popped up at the very end.
ERROR 1904.Module
C:\WINDOWS\System32\Macromed\Flash\Flash8.ocx failed to register. HRESULT -2147220473. Contact your support personnel.

lets run a repair on the browser.

start/
control panel/
add remove programes/
find IE in the list and highlight it/

on the right side it should give you the option to repair.
Follow the prompts to repair.

Then try installing the flash.

I'm sorry I missed a step

On the left side click add remove windows componants.

Its in there.

Take the check mark out of ie and click next
once its done put the check mark back into it and click next again
that will reinstall its control system.

From there we need to check some settings let me know when your ready to proceed
