Ever since I did the most recent live update I am having problems using outlook express to retreive and send email. It is extremely slow and clocks forever never finishing. I've turned off my email scanning and it is still slow. Does anyone know what I can do?

Quit using Outlook maybe?
I've never had an issue like this with Eudora or Mozilla Thunderbird, and they both work and look an awful lot like Outlook. You can hardly tell the difference, except for the lack of security holes that have made outlook so famous.
If you're determined to use Outlook, try uninstalling and reinstalling, that would probably work too. Also, if you're using an older version of Outlook, you might want to upgrade.
