Lost E-Mails from OE6

While closing OE the message popped up that OE can Free Up Disk Space and Compact Messages. After pressing the Cancel Button for a couple of days, I by mistake hit Ok and then when the disaster struck. It took very, very long and the computer got frozen. The next morning, I noticed that we are missing all E-Mails from numerous folders are GONE. We are also missing the E-Mails of he last nonth from Inbox.

WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP ON HOW TO RECOVER ALL THESE LOST E-MAILS.

THANKS IN ADVANCE.

you could try doing a system restore to the day before you pressed yess.

Have done that but it didn't help.
