Can't run or install spyware detection tools. I have tried running HiJackThis, Ad-Aware and SpyBot Search and Destroy.

Anyone heard of this?

Many Thanks!

Try renaming Hijack This and downloading it. Then post a log.

You might try running a free virus scan from panda software.

I tried renaming HiJackThis and running virus scan with no success.

The HijackThis won't run even under a different name.

Can you download it on another computer and then install it on the infected computer?

Did you use Internet Explorer to download the panda online virus scan?

I don't have another computer to download HijackThis to....

Panda required me to use IE to download. It wouldn't work with FireFox.

Then use Internet Explorer and allow the plug-ins that they need. I worked on a computer a couple of weeks ago for a person down the street and we had the same problems. You need to slowly start cleaning out some garbage to download it and fix it. :tazz:

Thanks for the help. I will give it a try.

BTW - I'm from God's country as well. I wouldn't have it any other way!
