My friend seems to have a problem and im very stumped. When he loads up firefox, photoshop, or google earth everything is fine. But when he starts to edit the file contrast etc, it freezes up for 30 seconds to a minute and sometimes longer so we just Ctrl Alt Del. I have looked at his hijackthis log and everything is clean. I had him scan with housecall, ad-aware Se, spybot. Not ewido because im still trying to figure out the exact way to use it. Any help is appricated.

Photoshop scrach file too small or fragmented? Too little harddrive space? Too little memory?
