I have run spybot, adaware and I know I still have garbage on my computer. At the moment it is not connected to the net because it sure looks like it is sending messages out by itself. My desktop is compromised. It is just a white screen, and constantly displays active desktop recovery. The is also a search on it that I did not put there. It is trying to connect, but as I said I disconnected the internet and it still will periodically show a static page. Any advice you can give me will be appreciated. The other thing is the pop up windows explorer has encountered an error is always poping up and if I click on it, it goes away and then pops up within 10 secs. It is just a vicious cycle. Thanks for any help you can give me. Here is my log:

We can definitely help you, but first you need to help us. The first step in this process is to apply Service Pack 1a for Windows XP. Without this update, you're wide open to re-infection, and we're both just wasting our time.
Apply the update, reboot, and post a fresh Hijack This log.

Im hesitant to put the computer back online at this point. But anyway, I tried to update the service pack quite awhile back and it would not let me. So I am not sure what else to do.

Until it is updated and we knows it's valid, we can't help you. I'm sorry, :tazz:

You can try that page and see if it can help. But until you have windows updated, you will get infected very soon.

I understand that. This is the 2nd time within two months. I am very impatiently waiting for my tax refund so I can get a new XP set up. I brought this computer second hand, so who knows how they got xp on it. Thank you again for your help. IM sure I will be back with questions once I get the "real mccoy" running. Do you have any idea if I will lose everything I have to reinstall or would I just get a registry key number? I am such greeny when it comes to computers.
