i am trying to set up a networkin my home so that i can have all the computers in my house be able to read files on the other computers (if i save a file on one computer i want to be able to go to another one in my house and open it) what do i have to do to do this. i have one laptop that is wireless internet that is running XP pro one desktop that is wireless internet and running xp home and one other computer desktop that is wired internet running xp home

Set them all the same workgroup.

Then just right-click on what you want to share, choose Sharing and Security, tick the appropriate boxes and there we go.
