microsoft adapter 520 issue

Iam trying to install a micosoft broadband adapter 520 on a windows me laptop its recognized on network neighboorhood but cant surf the web. An error occurs page cannot be displayed on screen.

Yet i install cisco aironet 340 series and its recognized right away and works fine can surf the web and so.

Is there some trick on installing the microsoft broadband 520 adapter???????
