Running Windows XP pro, using windows media player to burn.
Drag-and-drop features all work, it simply will not show blank CDs. I've tried a full stack, newly bought, and it shows an error message("Please insert blank CD-R or CD-RW into drive (F:), then try again") on every CD-R in the stack. I've tried looking for driver updates, none available, tried un-installing and re-installing, which worked long enough to burn a single data CD, then the problem immediately arose again.
The problem has been on-going since I bought the computer(4 months ago, pre-owned from an uncle); it first started out burning CDs, but in the middle of the CD(fifth or sixth song), the CD player would stop playing, but would play other songs later in the CD(11th or 12th song and so on). Now it won't burn at all. I'm at a loss.
