Get Dev-Cpp on http://www.bloodshed.net, one of the best freewares for programming in C (and C++) under the sun. And - wish you good luck!

BTW, Dev-Cpp is replaced by a new full-featured free IDE which is Code::Blocks.
This editor has a full compatibility with Dev-Cpp (one of the main developper comes from DevCpp's staff)
The advantages of Code::Blocks are :
* Built with wxWidgets, a great library that allows you to develop once for multiple platforms.
* Developped in C++ (DevCpp was a Delphi program !)
* Open Source !!!
