Hi,

I have an Antec Overture 2 case, and have my ASUS A8N-E motherboard installed, with both the 24-pin power connector and the 4-pin ATXV12 connector. When I press the power button on the front of the case, all the fans starts spinning - but powers down in appx. 1 second.

I have not installed any RAM, CPU, Videocard or anything else but a clean motherboard.

Do you have any idea what it might be ?

Hope You can help, thanks.

maybe because you have not installed anything else?

As a bare minimum, you need a cpu, motherboard, ram, and a videocard to get a boot.

add those first, then listen for BIOS beeps and report back

But even though I have installed no RAM, CPU or other device on the board, the board should still power up and keep the fans spinning right ?

The green light on the board is on.

I have also tried installing RAM and the CPU on the board, but still the same result.
