hello. in his job, my father get a laptop, this belong to someone else (in the same job) but it is a complete mess (talking about programs, virus, registry)
one problem i can not handle is that i get this error, from symantec(wich by the way, suscription has ended) tcp/ip not found
it locates the net, "excelent" but cant log because it stuck in "getting ip"
i remember he bring it to home one time and i have connected to the net and the WZC was working, i have just selected the net, set the password and everythings fine.
but now WZC says i have another program to do that and i should use it.
can you give some advice?

achilles becqx thanks for the help. actually the suscription has ended (norton) so i uninstall it, and put the nod32 trial (by now)
thats how i get a clue of whats going on, so, now it works, wzc its working and i can see the net already and i put my password, i feel im closer.
i was with norton even with his 2005 expecting things go roght with 2006, but now, i quit.
thanks for the line, almost there :tazz:
