i noticed a new folder in my program files and have no idea what it is....it's named Borland....anyone have any idea what this program folder is ?

nope i don't have any of those.......the only thing i have installed is an HP printer, and Corel lately.

i will have to check the folder version when i get home......ty

a number of programs use the borland database engine...to tell you what, we would have to know all the programs on your PC

It is a legit, not malware, program

I've seen it installed with kids programs, print artist, corel wordperfect, etc

Yes it is part of Corel:

Go to the location of your BDE Administrator files and click to select it. The default location is C:\Program Files\.Common Files\Borland Shared\BDE\BDEADMIN.EXE. Some computers with Corel Office Suite may have a different location for the BDE Administrator files, which is fine.
