hi,
I currently have a netgear wg311v3 wireless card that I want to use with my dlink-624+ router. The signal are fine but it won't connect as described in this post which is very very similar problem:

http://www.geekstogo...showtopic=93447

On a reformated hdd, signals are strong but won't connect .
In event viewer, I got a DHCP warning something like "... cannot get ip from network auto assign ip to 169.254.0.20..."
ipconfig/renew gives a response of "cannot renew ip from the network"
I have tried in safe mode with networking and it's not working either.

Any ideas?

Edit:solved

Since it's my router, I went in PC and manually assigned IP, subnet mask, default gateway, DHCP server and DNS servers, problem solved.
